Dr. Shauna Casement is a clinical psychologist who has worked for twenty years specializing is assessments and psychological treatment for adults and children with cognitive and developmental disabilities. She has provided individual, couples, family and group psychotherapy, as well as psychological and neuropsychological assessment for people with developmental disabilities and co-existing major mental illness. Dr. Casement has been qualified as an expert witness in the field of disability in every metropolitan area county, and also in Federal court. She has served for five years on a local Human Rights Committee and for ten years on the Arc of Denver Board. She has overseen the operation of Kid Connection program, which serves children with developmental disabilities in a therapeutic after school program. In this capacity, Dr. Casement has provided psychological assessment and behavior planning for the children.
 

Kari Ash has worked in the health care field for approximately thirteen years. Originally from Wisconsin, Kari began her human service career working with the elderly.After moving to Colorado in1997, she started working with people with developmental disabilities. Kari has been trained as a Certified Nursing assistant. Kari has worked in direct care with people with disabilities and with the elderly. Kari began working with Kid Connection in 2005.Kari enjoys taking the kids on allot of activities such as museums, bowling and to the library for reading time.Kari enjoys outside activities, weather permitting with the children to the zoo, recreational centers and putt putt golf. Kari is particularly adept in teaching personal hygiene to the children. Kari enjoys designing unique and innovative craft projects for the kids.
 

Anneliese Gieringer is another new face around the office She comes to us from a  Denver comprehensive care provider. While at her previous job she provided all aspects of direct care for developmentally disabled individuals and managed medical advocacy for the residential programs. Her position at Kid Connection focuses on working with the  kids and getting the word out about our program.
